Getting closer to a final version of this painting - working title Antique Collector. Riffing on the bizarre qualities in portrait paintings from the likes of Ingres and Titian. More yellows and umbers than usual for me.

I made these two still life drawings to demonstrate a subtractive technique for my Drawing 1 class at Clark College and liked how they turned out. Both are charcoal on bristol, 18x24 inches, and took around 20 minutes.
